About Stream

STREAM is a Community Trust set up in 1999 as an ongoing campaign to secure the structure and fabric of St. Laurence’s, the parish church of Foxton, as part of the village’s heritage.

The trustees are Kimberly Tongish (Chair), Simon Buggey, Karen Butler-Clark, Michael Husband and Deborah Richardson (Treasurer).

Trustees raise funds to help maintain this important Grade 1 listed building.  Over the years we have made contributions towards the boundary wall, a sound system, toilet, critical roof mending, heating and electrics.  As you can imagine, the costs of maintaining such an historic, listed building are expensive, hence the importance of ongoing fund-raising.

Trustees do this through regular fund-raising activities and annual subscriptions from our highly valued Friends of STREAM.

Following the theft of lead from the south transept roof and the installation of a temporary roof in 2016, our current fund-raising activity is focused on contributing to the cost of a permanent roof. It is currently estimated that the new roof will cost in the region of £200,000. Any funds raised by STREAM will help secure vital grants from other sources that will be needed to meet the cost of the permanent roof.
