2025 End of Year Newsletter

We’d like to thank you for continuing to support STREAM’s efforts to raise funds for the upkeep of St Laurence Church as a historic building placed in the centre of the village. Supporting our work helps to secure the building so it will be there for you at the important crossroads in your life, whether it’s a baptism, wedding, or a celebration of life service in the form of a memorial or funeral.

Early in 2025 we hosted the biennial Quiz and Curry, our winter fund raiser.  This event remains one of our all-time favourites.  It’s fun and brightens up the dark winter for everyone who comes along!  In the summer STREAM was in a beautiful village garden at the well-loved annual Cream Teas.  We were delighted to see so many friendly faces young and old attending this year.  These two events brought in £2,865.25, a great result!

We’d like to thank the Thriplow Daffodil Weekend Committee who awarded STREAM a grant of £2,000. Several of the STREAM Trustees volunteered at this fun and amazing event, just next door.

We’d also like to thank Mark Kennedy who has decided to step down as a STREAM Trustee after 20+ years of service, we shall miss his steady and calm manner.  We wish him well in his new ventures.  Thank you Mark for all you’ve done.

Taking up the mantle of treasurer is Deborah Richardson.  We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Deborah as a new STREAM Trustee.

Thank you to everyone who renewed their annual STREAM Friends Subscription at the Thank You Cheese and Wine evening.  If you were unable to attend or missed renewing your annual subscription, it’s not too late.

Finally, thanks to everyone who has supported us in 2025. Every penny we raise goes towards repairs and improvements to the building.
